On a wild hike in Yorkshire England, artist finds a woodsy path.

Such a bright day in early autumn. I was walking along this little wooded path towards Aysgarth Falls in N. Yorkshire (See Aysgarth Falls painting) and I come upon this little scene with all these weird and willowy trees. So I did a few sketches took a few photos and had a great time just taking in the strangeness of it all. A branch of a tree is overreaching the path almost telling me to get lost (the base of that tree is out of shot to the left). As I looked further I could see a strange and sinuous archway running ahead of me. Well the shadow and the lighting was so grand I have now finally completed the effect I wanted. I hope you enjoy it - I put a bit of Vincent in there for fun.
